Who can apply?
High school seniors from the Bronx who are expecting to graduate or receive their GED, as well as Bronx residents aged 17-24, who are pursuing a higher education, military service, trade school, community college, or specialized certifications are eligible to apply.

When is the deadline to submit my story?
This is our first year launching this initiative! We are looking to feature five stories to start off, so we encourage you to share yours as soon as possible. The sooner you submit, the sooner we can begin posting and sharing it with our community.
Will I be guaranteed to get the $1,000 scholarship?
Scholarships will be given based on funding availability, and the amount of students that receive the scholarship may vary each year. Our goal is to sponsor as many students as possible.
What types of stories are you looking for?
We are interested in hearing about your personal journeys, academic achievements, community involvement, and any obstacles you have overcome. Your story should be inspiring and demonstrate your resilience and determination.

We ask that you answer the questions in our application and submit the required documents.
Can I apply for the scholarship if I am already enrolled in college?
Absolutely! If you are already enrolled in college, a certification program, the military, or are planning/considering enrolling in any of these programs, you are eligible to apply.

We will be sending you an email to inform you of your scholarship award.
As much as we would love to, right now our goal is to give students at least one scholarship. We may consider future and additional sponsorship from our donors if they are interested in supporting you more.
Our goal is to host an annual luncheon this summer 2025 where you get to receive your scholarship. The next year, we invite you to come and present your achievements or an update to inspire future students and recipients.
